🕉️ This is why, this Monday, the 11,000 Mahamrityunjay Mantra Jaap and Arogya Murti Dhanvantari Shakti Havan are being organized at Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. According to sacred texts, after emerging from the Samudra Manthan, Lord Dhanvantari asked Lord Vishnu for a place. Vishnu informed him that he had arrived slightly late, but granted him a divine boon that he would be born in a royal lineage in the second Dwapara Yuga and be worshipped across the three worlds.
According to this boon, in the second Dwapara Yuga, Lord Dhanvantari took birth as the son of King Kashi, from the royal family in Kashi. Later, he studied Ayurveda under Rishi Bharadwaj, classified it into eight branches, attained extensive knowledge of healing sciences, and revealed the divine path of health to the world. After the night shayan-aarti, the game board is laid out and the sanctum is closed. Strangely, even though not a single creature can enter the temple at night, the board is always found disturbed the next morning. This unique fact increases the spiritual significance of this temple.
