Are You Feeling Vulnerable to Unseen Energies That Disrupt Your Peace and Safety at Home? This Maha Ashtami, Gain Protection & Blessings

Many devotees experience unexplained fear, sudden obstacles, and the sense of negative shadows around their family. Scriptures affirm that such troubles can arise from evil drishti (negative glare), or unseen forces. Yet for every darkness, there is a divine relief.

The Navratri Maha Ashtami - the eighth day of Navratri - is considered especially powerful for protection. On this day, Maa Durga is worshipped in her fiercest forms, those that vanquished mighty demons and restored balance in the cosmos. To channel this energy, Sri Mandir is organizing the 8 Shaktipeeth Ashtami Special Durga Puja, invoking the blessings of the eight sacred Shaktipeeths together. This unique puja shields devotees from evil influences and restores peace at home.

The rituals include the chanting of 1,25,000 Navarna Mantras and the performance of a Maha Shakti Homam (grand fire ritual). The Navarna mantra - “Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vichche” - is one of the most powerful chants for Durga’s blessings and protection. Each repetition is believed to form a raksha kavach (spiritual shield) around the devotee, while the sacred fire of the Homam burns away unseen evils.

✨ Sacred Shaktipeeths Invoked in This Puja
🪷 Maa Lalita – Prayagraj Shaktipeeth: Where Sati’s finger fell; remover of darkness and obstacles.

🌙 Maa Tara – Tarapith, Birbhum: Where Sati’s third eye fell; devourer of fear and evil forces.

🔥 Maa Kali – Kalighat, Kolkata: Where Sati’s right toes fell; fierce protector against demons and black magic.

🏔️ Maa Vindhyavasini – Vindhyachal, UP: Yogamaya, who foiled Kansa’s plans, ensures dharma always triumphs.

🌸 Maa Uma – Katyayani Peeth, Vrindavan: Where Sati’s hair fell; grants protection and removes obstacles.

⚔️ Maa Bhadrakali – Kurukshetra: Worshipped by the Pandavas; giver of victory in life’s battles.

🕉️ Maa Chamunda – Himachal Pradesh: Slayer of Chanda and Munda; destroyer of malicious spirits.

⚡ Maa Brajeshwari Devi – Kangra: Where Sati’s breast fell; Vajreshwari, who strikes down demons and restores peace.

By invoking all eight forms together on Maha Ashtami, this puja becomes a rare spiritual shield. Through Sri Mandir, devotees can participate and receive Maa Durga’s blessings for protection, harmony, and strength.
