⚜️The Mythological Story of Lord Dattatreya:
As per the Bhagavata Purana, once, the Trinity - Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara decided to test the devotion and chastity of Devi Anusuya. Disguised as sages, they visited the ashram of Rishi Atri and asked Anusuya for alms. Without recognising their true identity, she had already vowed to feed them. When they asked to be served food, she, using the power of her chastity, transformed the three gods into infants and breastfed them. Upon returning, Rishi Atri saw that his wife had turned the Trimurtis into babies. He prayed to them to return to their original forms, and pleased with their experience, the Trinity granted a boon that they would be born as her son. Thus, Lord Dattatreya was born, considered the unified form of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh.
On the auspicious Thursday, dedicated to Dattatreya Swamy, a special Datta Homam will be conducted by learned Brahmins at the powerful Ganagapur Kshetra. It is believed that Lord Dattatreya eternally remained here, and many devotees have received blessings of wish fulfilment at this sacred site.
