History of the Pagal Baba Temple

In 1969, Shrimad Leelanand Thakur Ji Maharaj decided to build a grand temple that would become a center of devotion and attract visitors from all over the world.

He acquired a large piece of land on the Vrindavan-Mathura road, which was earlier a dry and unused area.

On this land, he built the majestic Leeladham, now known as Pagal Baba Mandir.

On July 24, 1980, Pagal Baba left his mortal body and attained Mahasamadhi.
