🌕🦚 Once a Year, When Krishna and the Moon Shine in All 16 Kalas: Offer Arpan at Krishna’s Feet in Vrindavan, the Land of Maha Raas, on the Divine Dwi-Shodashi Yoga!

On the night of Ashwin Purnima, the Moon shines in all sixteen Kalas, a phenomenon traditionally associated with Sharad Purnima. In the sacred groves of Vrindavan, people remember the flute calling out on this special night. Devotees remember the divine moment when Krishna played his flute and performed the Maha Raas, fulfilling the long penance of the Gopis. Sharad Purnima is regarded as Krishna's most special, beloved full-moon night. It is believed that Krishna returns to Vrindavan with Radha Rani on this night to perform the Raas with the Gopis once again, blessing devotees with divine love for Krishna.

🌟 'Dwi-Shodashi Yoga':

The Shrimad Bhagavatam (1.3.28) declares: "Ete chāṁśa-kalāḥ puṁsaḥ kṛṣṇas tu bhagavān svayam" all other incarnations are regarded as portions or manifestations of Vishnu, while Krishna is the Supreme Lord Himself. While Lord Rama is traditionally associated with twelve Kalas and other incarnations with fewer, all sixteen Kalas are believed to be fully present in Lord Krishna. 33 This is why he is revered as 'Shodasha-Kala-Sampoorna' and the 'Poorna Avatar' (Complete Incarnation).

On the other hand, according to the traditional belief associated with the Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Sharad Purnima is the one night when the Moon shines in all sixteen Kalas and its rays shower divine nectar. This is why Krishna is believed to have chosen this night for the Maha Raas: Krishna, complete in all 16 Kalas, beneath the Moon, complete in all 16 Kalas, 'Dwi-Shodashi Yoga' Complete Perfection. This divine confluence is believed to occur only once a year.
