Rath Yatra 2026 Cuttack Gundicha Temple Panti Bhog & Aarti Seva

He left his throne and rode through the summer heat on a chariot pulled by thousands of hands to meet his devotees. And when he rests at the Gundicha Temple, tired, perform Bhog Seva and receive His direct grace.

Panti Bhog is a far more intimate ritual, signifying a mother's instinct, a servant's love, a devotee's way of saying: "My Lord, You came out for us. Now let us care for You." When the deities rest at Gundicha Temple during Rath Yatra, they are offered Panti Bhog - a light, refreshing meal of over 30 varieties of pithas, fresh fruits, rabidi, puffed rice, and coconut water.
No heavy food or urad dal. Just the kind of nourishing, cooling meal you would offer a beloved guest who has just arrived after a long journey in the heat. The tradition calls this Vatsalya Bhava, the love of a parent for a child. And in this moment, the devotee is the parent. Mahaprabhu is the child who has come home.

🪔 After Bhog, the Aarti:
When the Panti Bhog is offered, the Aarti Seva illuminates Mahaprabhu's divine face, which is a devotee's way of saying: “even here, away from your throne, away from your Jagannath Dham, my love for you has not dimmed by even one flame.” The Aarti at Gundicha is not routine worship. It is a declaration of devotion that follows the Lord wherever he goes.

✨ Blessings of the Panti Bhog & Aarti Seva:
The Skanda Purana declares that feeding Lord Jagannath even symbolically or from a distance earns Punya that dissolves obstacles in health, career, and family peace. Any sincere wish carried into this seva, on the day the Lord himself is most accessible and most moved by his devotees' love, carries extraordinary divine weight. This is Mahaprabhu at his most receiving and listening state.

🙏 He came out in the heat to see you. Feed him today.
