Sawan Month 30-Days 101KG Khichdi Seva Sankalp in Kashi

Most Sevas last an evening, but this one lasts a month.
101 Kilograms of Khichdi, prepared and served every single day for all 30 days of Sawan in Kashi, the city where feeding a stranger has been considered the highest act of human dignity for longer than any living tradition can remember.

🍚 Why 30 Unbroken Days Changes Everything?
A single day of Anna Seva is powerful. Thirty continuous days is a different category of giving entirely. Each successive day of the Sankalp does not reset, it compounds. Skanda Purana records that a Seva performed without interruption across an entire sacred month earns Akshaya Punya, inexhaustible merit that outlasts the month, outlasts the year, and outlasts the lifetime in which it was given.
The scriptures emphasize the greatness of Anna Seva because food sustains life itself. The Taittiriya Upanishad teaches "Annam Bahu Kurveeta" that is, produce food in abundance and share it generously. The Vedas declare: "Annadanam Samam Danam Trilokeshu Na Vidhathe" whiich means, there is no seva in all three worlds equal to Anna Seva.

🛕 Why Perform this Seva in Kashi?
Kashi is not just the city of Shiva, it is also the blessed land of Maa Annapurna, the Goddess of nourishment. Tradition holds that Kashi is a place where no being remains unfed due to Maa Annapurna's divine grace. It is here that Lord Shiva Himself is believed to have received food from Maa Annapurna, reminding the world that nourishment is sacred.

The connection between Kashi and Anna Seva goes even deeper. At Gauri Kedareshwar, one of Kashi's revered Shiva shrines, tradition associates the emergence of the sacred Shivling with Khichdi, making this simple food offering uniquely connected with Mahadev's own worship. Kashi is also counted among the sacred Panch Teerths mentioned in the Skanda Purana's Kashi Khand, where every act of dharma is believed to carry extraordinary spiritual value.

Through Sri Mandir, 101KG of Khichdi will be prepared and served daily across all 30 days of Sawan in Kashi in your name. Video delivered regularly throughout the month.

This booking is a collective act of service, made meaningful by everyone who participates. It is a shared contribution, and not an individual offering that comes together for a higher purpose.
