🛕5 Grand Festivals: Five Protective Shields, One Complete Sankalp!
Day 1: Dhanteras The Wealth Kavach
On the sacred occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti, worship all four divine powers associated with wealth together: Shri Gajalakshmi (royal prosperity), Dhanvantari (health and wellness), Rinmukteshwar (debt relief) and Kuber (growth and protection of wealth). This fourfold Wealth Kavach brings together their blessings on this special day of the year.
Day 2: Kali Chaudas The Shakti Kavach
According to the Rudrayamala Tantra tradition, the night of Kartik Chaturdashi is when the veil between the visible and invisible worlds is believed to become thinnest. Worshipping Maa Dakshina Kali, Shani Dev and Hanuman Ji together on this night seeks protection from the evil eye, enemy-related obstacles and Shani afflictions.
Day 3: Main Diwali The Prosperity Kavach
On Kartik Amavasya, the night associated with Lord Ram's return to Ayodhya, making an offering to Maa Ambabai Mahalakshmi is believed to invite prosperity into your home and help it remain there. According to the Karvir Mahatmya tradition, Maa Mahalakshmi chose Kolhapur as Her eternal abode and never leaves it. Devotees who take a Sankalp here on this sacred day seek Her blessings for lasting prosperity at home.
Day 4: Govardhan Puja The Nature Kavach
Giridhari lifted Govardhan Parvat to protect Gau Mata and the people of Braj. This was a divine manifestation of Shri Krishna's supreme protective power. Serving cows on the sacred land of Mathura is believed to invoke Krishna's direct grace and divine protection during difficult times.
Day 5: Bhai Dooj The Longevity Kavach
According to tradition, on Yama Dwitiya, Yama Dev granted a boon to His sister, Goddess Yamuna: "A brother who bathes in your sacred waters and receives his sister's tilak on this day shall remain protected from misfortune."
