World Kindness Day Special Needy People & Animal Welfare Sevas

Most of us feel kindness more often than we act on it. We notice someone struggling, something stirs and then the moment passes. World Kindness Day is simply the reminder to not let it pass. To take what you already feel and do something with it. Today, across four sacred cities, that is exactly what this seva does. A widow in Vrindavan receives a meal and new clothes. A hungry person in Kashi sits down to eat. A family in Haridwar opens a ration kit. A cow in Mathura is fed and cared for.

World Kindness Day and Sanatan Dharma’s 5,000 Year Old Teaching
World Kindness Day began in 1998 but Sanatan Dharma has held this truth for over 5,000 years. Bhagavad Gita lists Daya and Seva among the ‘Daivi Sampat’, divine qualities that bring a soul closer to God. And in Chapter 12, Krishna says: “Maitrah karuna eva cha”, the devotee dearest to him is the one who is compassionate towards all beings. This seva, across four cities, reaches humans and animals alike, which is exactly what that teaching calls for.

Where Does Your Kindness Reach?
In Vrindavan, widow welfare seva - a meal and new clothes reaches women who live in Krishna’s sacred land but are rarely seen or celebrated. In Kashi, Anna Bhojan Seva feeds the hungry in Lord Shiva’s eternal city, where food has always been considered divine. In Haridwar, ration kits reach families at the sacred gateway of the Gods, enough to cook something good for a few days. And in Mathura, complete Gauseva ensures that Gau Mata at Krishna’s own birthplace is fed and cared for on this day.

Through Sri Mandir, the complete World Kindness Day Seva is performed across Vrindavan, Kashi, Haridwar and Mathura, in your name. A video reaches you within 24–48 hours.
