Sawan Somwar-Mangala Gauri Vrat Special Shiv-Shakti Chadhava Sankalp

🔱Goddess Parvati did not perform penance merely to attain Lord Shiva. She undertook intense tapasya to become so spiritually empowered and complete within herself that Shiva Himself was drawn to her. When she manifested as Mangala Gauri, whole, powerful, and self-sufficient, the divine union of Shiva and Shakti took place.

The Mangala Gauri Vrat represents this very path: the journey toward becoming complete within oneself. It is the path of attaining inner divine strength (Shakti Siddhi). And Sawan is the sacred month when both Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati are believed to be closest to their devotees. Every Monday is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and every Tuesday to Maa Mangala Gauri. This rare confluence of blessings from both Shiva and Shakti comes only once each year.

🤔 Two Sacred Temples for Complete Grace
Scriptures mention: Without Shakti, Shiva is inactive; without Shiva, Shakti is incomplete.
The fullness of divine grace is attained only when both Shiva and Shakti are worshipped together. That is why, this Sawan, a single Shiva–Shakti Sankalp is being offered simultaneously at Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga where Maa Parvati performed intense tapasya to win Mahadev and Mangala Gauri Shaktipeeth, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths which is the root seat of this vrat.

For most devotees, it is not possible to personally visit both Omkareshwar (Madhya Pradesh) and Mangala Gauri (Gaya, Bihar) during the same Sawan. Through Shri Mandir, however, you can participate from the comfort of your home.
