The 24 Avtar Temple is a grand spiritual site located in Depalpur town, about 40 km from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Known as the Fifth Dham, this temple attracts devotees from across India and even abroad. The temple is being designed to house the 24 incarnations (Avtars) of Lord Vishnu, the preserver in Hinduism.
The foundation stone of the 24 Avtar Temple was laid in 1968-69 by Gurudev Jaykarandas Bhaktamali Paramhans, who also performed a Vishnu Mahayagya at the site. A large 6.25 feet tall Kalash (sacred pot) was made for the main sanctum, and smaller Kalash (3 feet each) were created for other shrines. The main temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, is built using around 8 lakh bricks. Although the temple is still under construction, it is already a place of peace and devotion for thousands of visitors.
The 24 Avtar Temple is famous for its spiritual energy and divine atmosphere. It is called the Fifth Dham, a place of special religious importance. The temple will include 24 separate shrines, each dedicated to one avatar of Lord Vishnu. In the upcoming phases, shrines for 11 avatars of Lord Rudra and 9 avatars of Goddess Durga will also be added. Spending time at this temple is believed to bring spiritual peace and inner happiness.
The temple displays Chalukya-style architecture, with beautiful carvings and structures. The main Vishnu-Lakshmi temple is built similar to the famous Somnath Temple. It stands at an impressive 121 feet in height and houses large idols of Lord Vishnu (9.25 feet) and Goddess Lakshmi (7.25 feet). Other temples within the premises are around 52-53 feet tall. About 90% of the first phase of construction is already completed, and the next phase will include even more shrines dedicated to Hindu gods and goddesses.

Devotees offer jaggery (gud) and chana dal (split chickpeas) to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Fruits, dry fruits, and laddoo are also offered as prasad.

By Train The nearest railway station is Indore Junction BG, which is about 45 km away from the temple. You can easily find buses or auto-rickshaws from the station to the temple. By Road The temple is located 45 km from Indore Bus Stand. Indore is well-connected by road to all major cities in Madhya Pradesh through state and private bus services.
