This special Pitru Shanti sadhana on the banks of the Ganga in Kashi is a rare opportunity where the blessings of the ancestors become the foundation for family unity, mental lightness, and a new positive direction in life.

The sacred day of Phalguna Shukla Purnima is considered highly auspicious for spiritual practices, prayers, and remembering one’s ancestors. On Purnima, the complete energy of the Moon fills both the mind and the environment with peace and positivity. On this divine tithi, the Pitru Shanti Mahapuja and Ganga Maha Aarti are being organized in Moksha Nagari Kashi, offering a special opportunity to remember our ancestors with devotion and gratitude.

In Sanatan tradition, ancestors are given a status equal to the deities. It is believed that when the ancestors are pleased, the path to happiness, peace, and progress opens for the family. When their remembrance is neglected, life may feel filled with unexplained obstacles, conflicts, and instability. With this sentiment, Kashi is considered the most sacred place for Pitru Shanti, where prayers and tarpan are believed to be especially fruitful.

Significance of Pishach Mochan Kund:
Pishach Mochan Kund in Kashi is especially known for Pitru Shanti and relief from subtle obstacles. It is believed that performing rituals here with proper rituals expresses reverence toward the ancestors and strengthens the intention to calm unseen blockages in life.

Spiritual Essence of Assi Ghat:
Located on the banks of the Ganga, Assi Ghat is considered a major center for sadhana, tarpan, and prayer. Pitru prayers performed in front of the flowing Ganga here are associated with inner peace, family balance, and positive energy. The divine atmosphere of the Ganga Maha Aarti deepens the feeling of devotion and surrender in the heart of the devotee.

This special ritual, along with the darshan of the Kashi Ganga Maha Aarti, becomes a deeply spiritual experience. It is not just a puja, but a sacred opportunity to express gratitude to the ancestors, bring harmony into family relationships, and receive a positive new direction in life.

Through Sri Mandir, you can also participate in this divine ritual from your home and pray for the blessings of your ancestors, experiencing peace, balance, and renewed inspiration in your life.

Pishach Mochan Kund, Assi Ghat,Kashi, Uttar Pradesh

Pishach Mochan Kund, Assi Ghat,Kashi, Uttar Pradesh
Kashi, known as the city of liberation (Moksha Nagari), is regarded as the supreme pilgrimage for Pitru Shanti and attaining moksha. It is believed that one who takes their last breath in Kashi attains liberation. For this reason, many devotees choose to spend their final days here. Pishach Mochan Kund in Kashi is especially famous for Pitru Dosha Shanti.

It is mentioned in the Garuda Purana and the Kashi Khanda, where it is said that performing pind daan, tarpan, and Pitru Dosha nivaran rituals here fulfills the unfulfilled desires of the ancestors and grants them peace and liberation.

The history of Pishach Mochan Kund is very ancient. It is believed to have existed even before the descent of the Ganga. The kund is associated with the story of a Brahmin who became a pishach due to his karmas. Under the guidance of Maharishi Valmiki, he worshipped Kapardeshwar Mahadev and bathed in this kund to attain liberation. Since then, this place came to be known as Pishach Mochan.

Assi Ghat, located on the banks of the sacred Ganga in Kashi (also known as Varanasi or Banaras), is one of the most revered spiritual sites. Pilgrims from across the world come here for the holy bath in the Ganga.

It is believed that this bath washes away sins and opens the path to liberation. Participating in the Ganga Aarti and offering prayers here on auspicious occasions is believed to bring blessings of health, prosperity, spiritual growth, and peace for the ancestors.
