Pishach Mochan Kund
The sacred city of Kashi, also known as the city of liberation (Moksha), is considered a supreme pilgrimage site for attaining liberation and performing Pitru Dosh Shanti rituals. The history of Pishach Mochan Kund is extremely ancient. It is believed that this sacred site existed even before the descent of the Ganga on Earth. The kund is associated with the story of a Brahmin who, due to his actions, was cursed to become a Pishach (spirit). Under the guidance of Maharishi Valmiki, he worshipped Kapardeshwar Mahadev and bathed in this sacred kund to attain liberation. Since then, the place came to be known as Pishach Mochan.
