Rama Ekadashi Moksha TIrth Combo Special Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja and Gangotri Dudh Abhishek

Ekadashi holds great significance in Hinduism. According to the Hindu calendar, there are a total of 24 Ekadashis observed each year. As per the religious texts, Lord Krishna narrated the significance of Rama Ekadashi to Dharmaraj Yudhishthir. This Ekadashi falls in the Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, four days before Diwali. It is also known as Rambha Ekadashi. This Ekadashi is considered to be one of Lord Vishnu's most beloved and is important for accumulating virtuous deeds. On this day, Lord Vishnu is worshipped. Rama Ekadashi is of great importance in Hinduism because one of Goddess Lakshmi's names is 'Rama,' making this Ekadashi particularly dear to Lord Vishnu. Devotees worship Lord Vishnu on this Ekadashi for the peace of their ancestors' souls and relief from Pitru Dosh. According to Hindu scriptures, Pitru Dosh occurs due to the unfulfilled desires and negative deeds of ancestors. Those afflicted with Pitru Dosh experience financial difficulties, tension and conflict in relationships, and the presence of negative energy. It is believed that performing the Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja helps in attaining freedom from this dosh. Scriptures also mention the benefits of performing the Ganga Dudh Abhishek along with the Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja. This combination is believed to grant peace to departed souls and protection from negative energies.

As per religious beliefs, performing Pitru Puja in the sacred city of Kashi holds great significance. It is said that performing this puja here brings peace to the ancestors' souls and their blessings, which bestow happiness and prosperity in life. Additionally, the holy Gangotri Dham holds special importance in religious texts. According to legends, it was at Gangotri Dham where, after King Bhagirath’s penance, Maa Ganga descended to Earth, and Lord Shiva controlled her flow by holding her in his locks. The Ganga Dudh Abhishek performed at Gangotri is considered highly significant, and worshipping Maa Ganga here fulfils the devotees’ desires. Therefore, on the auspicious day of Rama Ekadashi, a Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja in Kashi and Ganga Dudh Abhishek in Gangotri will be organised. Additionally, Ganga Aarti and the Deep Daan hold special importance on this day. Hence, by selecting the optional Ganga Aarti and Deep Daan with this puja, you can make your puja even more powerful.

Pishach Mochan Kund and Ganga Ghat,Kashi, Gangotri Dham

Pishach Mochan Kund and Ganga Ghat,Kashi, Gangotri Dham
In the mystical realm of Kashi, the city of salvation, tranquillity befalls the departed souls. The belief echoes that drawing the last breath here leads to liberation, drawing numerous seekers to make Kashi their final abode. At the heart of this spiritual haven lies the revered Pishach Mochan Kund, where Pitru Dosha Nivaran Puja takes place. Here, the unfulfilled desires of ancestors find fulfilment, paving the way for their ultimate liberation. Performing Pitru Dosha Nivaran Puja here frees ancestors from all debts and grants them liberation from impediments.

On the other hand, Gangotri Dham is located on the sacred land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Gangotri is the origin place of the Ganga River, and it is believed that worshipping Maa Ganga at this place fulfils all the devotees' wishes. According to ancient legends, Bhagirath performed penance here to attain salvation for his ancestors. After his tireless efforts, Maa Ganga descended to earth. However, her speed was so intense that if she would have fallen directly on earth, the earth would have been destroyed. A situation of disaster would have been created and she would have gone to the netherworld. On the tireless prayers of the devotees, Lord Shiva gathered Ganga in his Jata (locks) and after that Maa Ganga reached the earth via Kailash and saved the ancestors of Bhagiratha. It is believed that the stone on which King Bhagirath meditated still exists here and is known as Bhagirath Shila. It is believed that anyone who performs puja at the Ganga Ghat in Gangotri Dham on the auspicious day of Ekadashi receives the blessings of Maa Ganga.
