According to ancient legends, after traveling through all three worlds, Lord Shiva comes here each night for rest. It is said that this is the only temple on earth where Shiva and Parvati play Chaupar (a traditional dice game) daily. After the night Shayan Aarti, a Chaupar board is laid out and the sanctum is closed.
