Radha Damodar Mandir is one of the ancient seven temples of Vrindavan. It houses the sacred Govardhan Shila, which was given by Lord Krishna to Sanatan Goswami. It is believed that performing four circumambulations of this temple is equal to one full Govardhan Parikrama. The temple was established by the Vaishnav Acharya Sanatan Goswami. 🔸 Shri Dirgha Vishnu Mandir
Located in Mathura, this temple is dedicated to the colossal form of Lord Vishnu and is associated with the slaying of Kansa by Shri Krishna. The deity installed here is considered unique in all of India. The Varaha, Narada Purana, and Shrimad Bhagavatam mention this sacred place. It is believed that devotees who visit with pure devotion attain mental peace and divine refuge. The temple is believed to have been established over 4,500 years ago and continues to be a revered center of devotion for Vaishnavs.
🔸 Radha Raman Mandir
Radha Raman Mandir is one of the seven most important ancient temples in Vrindavan. It was constructed in 1542 by Gopal Bhatt Goswami. The self-manifested deity of Lord Krishna here emerged from a sacred Shaligram Shila. This temple is a vital pilgrimage site in the Gaudiya Vaishnav tradition. A sacred fire has been continuously burning here for over 500 years, from which offerings to the deity are prepared. Worship and evening bhajans are conducted with strict discipline, making this temple a radiant center of divine lilas and devotion, attracting devotees from around the world.
🔸 Madan Mohan Mandir
Madan Mohan Mandir is a prominent and historical Vaishnav temple in Vrindavan, dedicated to Lord Krishna in his "Madan Mohan" form. Built in the 16th century by Ramdas Khatri under the guidance of Sanatan Goswami, the temple's main deity is believed to be crafted by Vajranabh, the great-grandson of Lord Krishna. During the Mughal period, the idol was moved to Karauli for safety. Even today, the temple remains a sacred site for devotion, meditation, and service. Special Aartis are held during the Kartik month. This temple stands as a living symbol of Braj's spiritual traditions and cultural heritage.
🔸 Gopinath Mandir
Gopinath Mandir is one of Vrindavan's ancient and significant Vaishnav temples. Built in the 16th century by courtier Raysal Darbari, the deity of Shri Gopinath here is believed to be the same one worshipped by Vajranabh. The temple architecture resembles that of the Madan Mohan Mandir, with silver doors and beautiful murals being key attractions. During the Mughal era, the deity was moved for protection. The temple’s establishment is linked with Gaudiya saint Madhu Pandit. Even today, the temple remains a vibrant center of devotion, celebrated with festivals and rath yatras.
