Triyuginarayan Temple, located in Triyuginarayan village in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, is considered a very ancient and sacred pilgrimage site. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located near the route to Kedarnath Dham. It is said that the temple’s architecture resembles Kedarnath Temple. From a religious perspective, this place is extremely important.
According to ancient legends, the Triyuginarayan region was once considered the capital of Himavan (King of the Himalayas). It is believed that this is the sacred place where the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati took place. It is said that during this wedding, a large sacred fire was lit in a havan kund and sacred fire was burning in all four directions. In this divine wedding ceremony, Brahma, Vishnu, all gods, and sages were present.

There are also four sacred kunds in the temple complex - Rudra Kund, Vishnu Kund, Brahma Kund, and Saraswati Kund. The water of these kunds is considered very sacred. It is believed that during the marriage of Shiva and Parvati, the gods bathed in these kunds. It is said that the water of Saraswati Kund originated from Lord Vishnu’s navel, which further increases the religious importance of this place.
