According to a mythological story, Lord Shiva comes here to rest at night after wandering through all the three worlds. It is said that this is the only temple on earth where Shiva and Parvati play the game of dice every night. After the Shayan Aarti at night, a dice board is set up here, and the Garbhgriha is closed.
