One of the most ancient temples in Avantika Puri (Ujjain), the ‘Karmasiddhi’ Khedapati Hanuman Temple is located on Agar Road and is about 600 years old, where the idol of Lord Hanuman was consecrated by Swami Kripanivas Rasikacharya (Rasik Sect). It is believed that Swami Kripanivas Ji once had a direct vision of Lord Hanuman. For about 45 generations till today, the ancestors of Kripanivas Ji have been conducting prayers and other religious rituals in this temple, and from time to time, reconstruction of the temple has also been done. Currently, this temple was rebuilt by Mahant Dr. Harihar Rasik.
Khedapati Hanuman Temple is a famous and active temple. This temple is considered a center of deep faith for devotees. “Khedapati” means the protector of the area. It is believed that Lord Hanuman residing here protects his devotees from every crisis and obstacle, and provides courage and positive energy in life. This temple is known for its peaceful, clean, and devotional environment.
Regular prayers, Sunderkand recitation, and Hanuman Chalisa recitation are done here. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, a large number of devotees come here especially for darshan. On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, special prayers, community feasts, and grand events are organized in the temple.
