It is said that their divine wedding was performed around a grand sacred fire altar where holy fire was lit in all four directions. Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, along with many deities and sages, are believed to have been present during this divine ceremony. It is believed that the gods bathed in these sacred ponds during the wedding ceremony of Shiva and Parvati, making their waters highly sacred. It is especially believed that the water of Saraswati Kund originated from the navel of Lord Vishnu.
