🕉️ On this special day, the importance of the Dakshinavarti Shankh is the highest. There are two types of conchs—one that is blown and the other that is used in worship. The conch used in worship is the one whose opening is towards the right side, which is called the Dakshinavarti Shankh. It is considered a form of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that Lakshmi Ji resides and prosperity remains in the place where the Dakshinavarti Shankh is worshipped.
🕉️ According to the Padma Purana, if the Abhishek of Lord Shaligram is performed with a Dakshinavarti Shankh on the day of Ekadashi, it reduces the impact of sins from many births and the special grace of Lord Vishnu is obtained. Based on this holy belief, the Abhishek of Shaligram will be performed with a Dakshinavarti Shankh in this ritual, with the hope of bringing positive changes in the lives of devotees.
