Celebrated over a 41-day sacred period, it begins on Chaitra Purnima and culminates on the 10th day of Krishna Paksha in Vaishakha month. 2. Sindhoor Archana: A sacred offering of sindhoor to invoke Hanuman’s valiant form, believed to shield devotees from obstacles and infuse them with fearlessness and clarity.
3. 108 Vada Mala Seva: A grand devotional act where devotees offer a garland of urad dal vadas, ranging from 11 to 108, as a symbol of deep faith, surrender, and the wish to receive Hanuman’s blessings.

According to legend, Lord Hanuman discovered a Salagrama stone shaped like Lord Vishnu while bathing in the Gandaki River in Nepal. Passing through Namakkal, he entrusted the stone to Goddess Lakshmi, who was meditating after Lord Narasimha killed Hiranyakashyap. When Hanuman failed to return in time, the stone was placed on the ground, grew into a mountain, and became immovable. Lord Narasimha appeared and declared the place as his abode, and today, Hanuman’s idol stands paying obeisance to Lord Narasimha Swamy, whose temple is located nearby. The hillock in Namakkal is also believed to be the one brought by Lord Hanuman from Nepal, adding to the temple’s spiritual and cultural significance.
