Rudrabhishek is considered to be the most effective and favorite worship of Lord Shiva. In this, milk, water, honey, curd and bel leaves are offered on the Shivling while chanting Vedic mantras. According to the Puranas, even a powerful demon like Ravana tried to conquer the three worlds by gaining power from Lord Shiva through Rudrabhishek.
🔱 Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is located near the origin of the holy river Godavari, which is considered very special because the powers of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva meet here. This place is said to be highly revered for breaking deep karmic bonds and fulfilling the desires made with a true heart.
🔱 Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, located on the Mandhata island in the middle of the holy Narmada river, is considered to be self-manifested (Swayambhu). Here the Narmada river flows in the shape of 'Om', which makes it even more sacred. It is believed that Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati reside here every night and play the game of divine dice.
🔱 The last Jyotirlinga located near Devgiri,Ghrishneshwar, is a symbol of the deep devotion of a devotee named Ghushma. Despite not having children, she worshipped Shiva by making 101 earthen Shivlingas every day. Even when her jealous sister killed her son, Ghushma did not give up her worship. Pleased with her unwavering devotion, Lord Shiva gave life to her son and himself started living there as 'Ghushmeshwar'.
