Nag Panchami: Special Worship of Serpent Clan Goddess 101 Mansa Devi Dwadash Naam Stotra Paath and Nag Doodh Abhishek with Ashtottar Shat Naamavali of Nag Devta for relief from disturbing thoughts and energetic blockages

Are constant disturbing thoughts holding you back?
On this Nag Panchami, receive blessings of mental peace, energy purification, and divine protection through the ritual organized at Shri Takshakeshwar Teerth Mandir. 🔱✨

At times in life, we face troubles and fears that seem to have no clear cause. The mind remains restless, and the family experiences repeated crises. In such situations, divine intervention is often needed for protection. It is believed that the worship of Maa Mansa Devi can offer a powerful solution to these problems. Maa Mansa Devi is considered the serpent clan’s goddess, the daughter of Sage Kashyap, and a divine creation born from Lord Shiva’s mind. According to belief, Maa Mansa Devi blesses devotees by removing unseen fears, ancestral curses, and mental unrest. The Panchami of the Shukla Paksha during the month of Sawan, known as Nag Panchami, is considered especially auspicious for her worship. On this day, worshipping Maa Mansa along with the Nag Devtas is said to bring blessings of mental peace and protection for one’s lineage. Additionally, reciting the Dwadash Naam Stotra and performing abhishek (ritual offering) with the 108 names of the serpent deities is believed to bring stability and balance to life.

🐍 Significance of Worshipping Nag Devta on Sawan Shukla Panchami🌼🙏

According to the belief of Nag Panchami, the serpent beings (nagas) were given a place to reside in the underworld (Patal Lok), but some of them began appearing on Earth and causing trouble. To stop them, Lord Vishnu sent Garuda. Troubled by Garuda’s attacks, the serpent king Vasuki sought refuge in Lord Shiva. Mahadev promised them protection. When Vasuki confronted Garuda, he was defeated and once again called upon Lord Shiva. Shiva tried to stop Garuda, but Garuda, following Lord Vishnu’s command, attacked again. This created a situation of potential conflict between Shiva and Vishnu. Ultimately, at Vasuki’s earnest request, Shiva ended the dispute and honored him by wearing him around his neck as an ornament. Since then, the tradition of worshipping snakes on the day of Nag Panchami began.

That is why, on this Nag Panchami, a special ritual is being organized by Sri Mandir at Shri Takshakeshwar Teerth Mandir in Prayagraj to seek the blessings of Maa Mansa Devi and the Nag Devtas. According to scriptures, Maa Mansa Devi is considered the goddess who protects from unseen dangers.
During this puja, her Dwadash Naam Stotra will be chanted 101 times to calm fear, anxiety, and confusion. Following that, symbolic forms of the Nag Devtas will be offered a milk abhishek while chanting their 108 names (Ashtottar Shat Namavali), which is performed for relief from family disharmony and inherited obstacles.

You too can join this divine ritual during this rare and auspicious alignment through Sri Mandir and receive the blessings of Nag Devta and Maa Mansa Devi.

Shri Takshakeshwar Teerth Mandir, Prayagraj

Shri Takshakeshwar Teerth Mandir, Prayagraj
Shri Takshakeshwar Teerth Mandir is an ancient and sacred site located in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River in the holy city of Sangam, this temple is globally recognized as a unique place known as Takshak Teerth. Located in the southern part of the Dariyabad locality, this site has been preserved since ancient times and is said to still hold remnants of Sheshnag. The history of Takshakeshwar Teerth Mandir is believed to be more than 5,000 years old. According to the Puranas, this temple was established as an act of penance following the death of King Parikshit, who was bitten by the serpent Takshak Nag. Following this event, five principal deities were consecrated at the site, and it was believed that the descendants of devotees who offer prayers here would be protected from snake venom. Takshak is considered the lord of the entire serpent race, and because he is believed to reside here, this location has become a powerful center for relief from Kaal Sarp Dosh, the Mahadasha of Rahu, Nag Dosh, and other venom-related afflictions. Devotees believe that by having darshan of the Shiva Lingam here, they can attain liberation from Kaal Sarp Dosh, and their lineage can be safeguarded from serpent-related troubles.

During the month of Sawan, actual sightings of snakes near the temple are common, which enhances the site's sanctity and mystical aura. Visiting Takshakeshwar Teerth is believed to provide specific relief from Sarpa Dosh and Kaal Sarp Dosh, making it one of India’s important spiritual destinations. The architecture of the temple follows the Nagara style, featuring a large central spire and dome. Around the Shiva Lingam is a copper arghya (offering channel), and the complex also houses idols of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha. During excavations in 1992, many ancient artifacts and intricately carved stones were unearthed, connecting this site to a very early civilization. The Archaeological Department has studied these remains and continues its research, recognizing the temple as a location of significant ancient heritage. Takshakeshwar Teerth Mandir represents a blend of unique history, deep-rooted spiritual belief, and ancient architecture, making it a treasured spiritual landmark in Prayagraj.
