The asura Swarbhanu deceived the gods into drinking the nectar of immortality, after which Lord Vishnu severed his head, transforming him into two celestial entities—Rahu and Ketu.
Rahu is associated with illusions, obsessions, and material entrapments, while Ketu represents detachment and karmic influences from past lives. Their malefic effects can cause sudden setbacks, confusion, and instability.
