A mythological tale narrates that the day Maa Parvati created Lord Ganesh, Budhdev (the deity associated with Wednesday) was also present on Mount Kailash. Upon seeing Lord Ganesh, Budhdev was so pleased that he dedicated his day, Wednesday, to Him. Hence, worshipping Lord Ganesh on Wednesday is believed to be highly fruitful. Scriptures also mention that remembering Ganesh Ji on this day naturally dissolves all obstacles in life. This is why He is called ‘Vighnaharta’—the Remover of Obstacles—who clears the path for His devotees and blesses them with success.
