When Ghushma learned of her son’s death, she remained absorbed in her worship, placing complete faith in Lord Shiva. Moved by her devotion, Shiva appeared before her, revived her son, and offered her a boon. Ghushma asked Shiva to forgive her sister and reside at that very place. Shiva agreed and declared that he would be known as Ghushmeshwar, residing eternally there.
