Jaratkaru asked who they were. With sad voices, they replied, "We are your ancestors. Because you have chosen not to marry, our family line will end with you. Without a child to perform sacred rites for us, we will fall into this darkness forever." Moved by love and his duty, Jaratkaru changed his path and agreed to marry so his ancestors could be saved. This story beautifully shows how the love and actions of a living family member can directly bring salvation to their ancestors.
