🛕 According to Hindu mythology, Rahu and Ketu are two creatures born from the body of a demon named Swarbhanu. Swarbhanu's head is known as Rahu and the torso as Ketu. According to the scriptures, if the condition of Rahu-Ketu is going on in a person's horoscope, then it increases problems like failure in efforts, family discord, addiction to bad habits, financial crisis and difficulty in decision making. Mahadev's favorite month Shravan is considered very auspicious for the worship of these planets. It is said that this month acts as a spiritual bridge connecting the devotee to God.
🛕 In the Puranas, Lord Shiva is considered the deity of Rahu and Ketu and it is believed that worshipping him reduces the inauspicious effects of these planets. Therefore, performing Shiv Rudrabhishek along with Rahu-Ketu Peeda Shanti Puja is considered very beneficial. This puja is especially performed in Shatabhisha Nakshatra as the lord of Shatabhisha Nakshatra is Rahu, and worshipping Rahu in this nakshatra gives special results.
🛕 According to the scriptures, worshiping Lord Shiva brings relief from planetary defects.
