Shri Galta Ji Surya Temple - This temple holds great ancient and religious importance. It is located 10 kilometers east of Jaipur. Set among the Aravalli hills, this temple complex has many temples, among which Galta Ji is the largest. Rahu Paithani Temple - In this temple located in Uttarakhand, Rahu is worshipped along with Lord Shiva. It is believed that Rahu and Ketu are parts of the body of a demon named Swarbhanu. According to mythological stories, when Swarbhanu sat in the row of deities during the churning of the ocean and drank nectar by deceit, Lord Vishnu came to know of his deceit and separated his head from his body with his Sudarshan Chakra so that he would not become immortal. But due to drinking nectar, Swarbhanu became immortal. The lower part of Swarbhanu became Ketu while the part with the head above the torso was called Rahu. This head part fell at this very place in Pauri after being cut by the Sudarshan, which came to be known as the Rahu Temple.
