Here, Swamy is said to be worshipped in his benevolent form. As per the Sthala Purana, this temple was established around 500 years ago by Sri Vibhudesha Theertharu of the Kukke Subramanya Matha. The temple enshrines a magnificent seven-hooded black Saligrama idol of the Lord and follows the Dvaita tradition.
