✨This Maha Ashtami, take part in the 1,25,000 Navarna Mantra Jaap and Kanya Bhojan at Maa Uma Katyayani Shaktipeeth, along with the rare opportunity to receive blessings from all 8 sacred Shaktipeeths.

✨ Many devotees sometimes experience unexplained fears, repeated obstacles, or a lingering sense of negativity around their home and family. In Sanatan beliefs, such disturbances are often associated with evil drishti (negative glare), jealousy, or unseen energies that disturb peace and progress. Yet the scriptures remind us that whenever darkness rises, the divine power of Maa Shakti awakens to restore balance and protect her devotees.

✨ The sacred occasion of Chaitra Navratri Maha Ashtami, the eighth day of Navratri, is considered one of the most powerful times to seek the blessings of Maa Durga. On this day, the fierce forms of the Goddess are worshipped—the same divine forces that destroyed mighty demons and restored harmony in the universe. To invoke this protective Shakti, Sri Mandir is organizing the Navratri Ashtami 8 Shaktipeeth Maha Shakti Mahayagya, a rare ritual that invokes the blessings of eight sacred Shaktipeeths together. During this ritual, 1,25,000 Navarna Mantra Jaap and a Maha Shakti Mahayagya are performed to invoke Maa Durga’s protection and burn away negativity. The Navarna Mantra Jaap and the sacred Kanya Bhojan will be performed exclusively at Maa Uma Katyayani Shaktipeeth, Vrindavan, making it a deeply powerful center of this entire ritual. On Navratri Ashtami, Kanya Bhojan is also performed, where young girls are worshipped as Maa Durga’s living forms, believed to invite prosperity, harmony, and divine protection into devotees’ lives.

✨ Sacred Shaktipeeths Invoked in This Puja-

🪷 Maa Lalita – Prayagraj: Believed to be the place where Sati’s finger fell—worshipped for removing darkness and life obstacles.

🌙 Maa Tara – Tarapith, Birbhum: Where Sati’s third eye is believed to have fallen; revered for destroying fear and negative forces.

🔥 Maa Kali – Kalighat, Kolkata: Where Sati’s right toes fell; worshipped as the fierce protector against evil energies and black magic.

🏔️ Maa Vindhyavasini – Vindhyachal, Mirzapur: Considered the Yogamaya form of the Goddess who protected the world from Kansa’s tyranny and ensured the victory of dharma.

🌸 Maa Uma – Katyayani Peeth, Vrindavan: Believed to be the place where Sati’s hair fell; devotees worship here for protection and removal of obstacles.

⚔️ Maa Bhadrakali – Kurukshetra: Worshipped by the Pandavas before the Mahabharata war; known for granting victory in life’s battles.

❤️ Maa Durga – Hridaya Shaktipeeth, Deoghar: Believed to be the sacred place where Sati’s heart fell, symbolizing divine compassion and protective energy.

By invoking the combined blessings of these eight sacred Shaktipeeths on Chaitra Navratri Ashtami, this puja becomes a rare spiritual shield. Through Sri Mandir, devotees can participate in this powerful ritual and seek divine protection, peace, and strength in life.

Some believe Maa Vindhyavasini is Yogmaya, the sister of Krishna.

Shaktipeeth Mahalakshmi Ambabai - Kolhapur – The Shri Mahalakshmi Ambabai Temple, located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is one of India’s most prominent Shaktipeeths. According to the ancient legend, the two eyes of Goddess Sati fell at this place, and since then, Maa Lakshmi has been enshrined here.

Hridaya Shaktipeeth, Deoghar - The Shaktipeeth at Baidyanath is believed to be the sacred place where the heart of Goddess Sati fell. Because of this, the site is also revered as Hridaya Peeth.

Baidyanath is unique as it is not only a Shakti Peeth but also a highly auspicious spiritual center associated with healing and relief from suffering. Devotees believe that offering prayers here helps free a person from illnesses, negative karmas, and past sins, while bringing spiritual purification and renewed well-being.

Bhadrakali Temple, Kurukshetra: Also called Savitri Peeth, Devi Peeth, Kalika Peeth. Believed Sati’s right ankle fell here. The Shiva and Vishnu legend establishes it as a powerful spiritual center. Worship brings courage, protection, and spiritual strength.
