🌸According to our sacred texts, the story of Lord Mangal's birth is deeply connected to Lord Shiva. The Matsya Purana tells a story of a time when Lord Shiva was fighting a powerful demon named Andhakasura. During the great battle, a drop of sweat from Lord Shiva's forehead fell to the earth. From this single drop, a child was born. This child was very powerful and drank the blood of the demon, which made his body turn red. The gods, seeing this divine child, established a Shivalinga at that very spot and named it Mangalnath Mahadev. This holy place, in the sacred city of Ujjain, is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Mangal, the planet Mars.
