One of the most well-known legends associated with this day is that of the Akshaya Patra. During the Pandavas’ exile, Draupadi had nothing to offer the visiting sages and prayed to Lord Krishna. He arrived and found just one grain of rice left in their vessel. Upon consuming it, he satisfied the hunger of the entire universe. Pleased with her devotion, Surya Dev gifted the Akshaya Patra, a divine vessel that would never go empty until Draupadi herself had eaten. This miracle occurred on Akshaya Tritiya, making the day a symbol of divine provision, inner strength, and unfailing abundance.
