During the scorching heat of the Jyeshtha month, when even a single drop of water feels rare, “Nirjala Ekadashi” arrives. On this day, fasting without water is difficult, but even more meritorious is serving pilgrims, saints, and Brahmins who are suffering in the intense heat. According to scriptures, seva performed with devotion on this day removes sorrow from a person’s life and grants the blessing of “everlasting good fortune.”

This Mahaseva is focused on six supreme liberation-giving pilgrimage sites: Gaya (land of ultimate liberation), Kashi (the imperishable sacred region), Haridwar (gateway to liberation), Puri pilgrimage region (abode of Lord Jagannath), Mathura (birthplace of Lord Krishna), and Prayagraj (king of pilgrimages).
