Learn the divine story of the Fifth Shraddha, which signifies the continuous cycle of remembrance, gratitude, and blessings passed down through generations.
The story of the fifth Shraddha highlights its origins in Hindu scriptures. According to these texts, Sage Atri, one of Lord Brahma's ten sons, taught Maharishi Nimi the rituals of Shraddha. After the sudden death of his son, the grieving Maharishi Nimi, guided by Narad Muni, began invoking his ancestors. The ancestors appeared before him and said, "Nimi, your son has already found his place among the Pitru Devs (ancestral deities). By offering food and performing rituals for your departed son, you have essentially conducted the Pitru Yagna." Since then, Shraddha has been regarded as a significant ritual in Sanatan Dharma.
