Belon Mata Temple, Bulandshahr

It is said that during an excavation many years ago, a stone idol of the goddess was discovered. A king reportedly saw the goddess in a dream, instructing him to build a temple at that place. Following the divine command, the temple was constructed, and the idol was installed in the garbhagriha (sanctum). To this day, the temple is considered miraculous and spiritually awakened. Local priests and elder villagers still narrate the mysterious and divine tales associated with this sacred site.

Belon Mata Temple is built in the traditional ancient Indian temple architecture, primarily reflecting the North Indian (Nagara) style. Key architectural features: Garbhagriha (Sanctum) – houses the ancient stone idol of the goddess.

The idol is in Veerasan posture, with one leg symbolically pointing towards the underworld.

During these days, special rituals, jagrans, bhajan evenings, and havans are conducted. Aarti Timings Morning and evening aarti are considered highly auspicious. During aarti, the temple atmosphere becomes vibrant with bells, drums, conch sounds, and divine chants.

Devotees coming from distant cities like Delhi, Agra, Kanpur, or Lucknow can get down at Aligarh or Bulandshahr railway stations and take a bus or taxi to Belon.
